Hey there everybody, let me introduce myself! My name is “Willow.” My Foster Mom named me – she loves me so much!!! (I feel the same way about her, she’s really really cool). As you can see I’m a very handsome (okay, beautiful) liver and white Brittany boy.
Here are a few observations from My Foster Mom: Willow is young boy who is ready to love, love, love you. Yep, he’s a lover! He’s also a sniffer and he loves to be nosey around the house – checking out everything. Like most Brittanys he has plenty of energy.
When he first came to my home he was guarded – a little unsure of himself – but he never balked away from people. Maybe he was just being judgmental :) He warmed up quickly to me and strangers alike. Within a couple days he started wagging his nubbin… You could tell he had been starved for attention like a little orphan child! Now he is happy as ever. Once we got to know each other, he understood the ‘good boy’ tone of voice and the ‘NO’ tone of voice. We’re working on simple commands (sit, stay, down are pretty good).
Brittanys are smart and Willow is no exception. I’m sure he will learn whatever you teach him. Though at times he may be mischievous (rips fabric toys/blankets), he’s only had two accidents in the house. LOVES birds and squirrels. Other dogs are ok, too. Above all he is a people lover. The Vet said he was 1-1/2 years old, but it was still a little like welcoming a new Pup into the house. He may never been allowed to be a puppy before. You can tell he’s so excited to be alive! And he wants to love you.
Willow here – with a few comments of my own: I am an active, young Brittany who loves to run, play, cuddle and be loved on. I need a big yard to run in and lots of love from my people. I don’t think that is too much to ask, do you? Since I’ve just now come into the BRIT program, they said they need a little more time to get to know me. But from my perspective, there’s not much more to learn about me. I am handsome, I am a good boy, I’m smart, I am loving and I am fun – what more is there?
If you are looking for a beautiful, active new companion to be a forever member of your family, please fill out an adoption application. Please choose me – don’t forget my name “Willow”! The only thing I ask is that you promise to keep me forever.
Willow has been neutered, is heartworm negative and on preventative, and microchipped. He is up to date on his shots and ready for his new home.
