Willie

Willie’s Intake Story:

Hello everyone, my name is “Willie” – BRIT named me that because I’m an old fella – kinda like the famous Willie (Nelson, that is). I’ve had a hard life.

I came from a shelter south of Dallas. I wandered up there across a huge field. They immediately contacted BRIT and I was at the vet in 24 hours. That’s a miracle in itself – when I got to the vet I could barely hold my head up, I couldn’t walk, or even stand up. I’ve been in hospital care for several weeks tending to my severe case of pneumonia. I am doing better, but it’s been a long road to recovery. I need to gain weight (at least 10 pounds). I have few other health issues that we’re working on.

I’m a really good boy ~ just down on my luck. I’m sure someone out there will want to take me into their family so I can finally receive the love and attention that I crave.

Willie has not been neutered or updated on shots yet – we’re waiting for him to be strong enough . He will be in hospital care for a few more weeks, then this sweet guy will be ready for his forever home!
