“Allow me to introduce myself…..I am “Thunder”! You may be thinking to yourself … why is Thunder the Magnificent introducing himself? Well, I’m the new kid in the BRIT pack!
I’m looking for a new home. It seems that no matter how much your people love you, sometimes it just doesn’t work out. That’s my story. My people found their lives changing and they wanted the best for me and that means it might be a new life with YOU! Just so you know, I’m 10 years young, in excellent health, current on all of my shots, microchipped and undergoing the “Big Snip” even as we speak. I wasn’t neutered because I am a retired championship show Brittany!
My BRIT aunties (Erlinda and Pattie) can tell you that I still have a regal stance and bearing and I just prance when I’m in prancing mode! And run, I do like to run just for fun but I’m really good on leash, I have great manners and I get along with dogs, cats, little kids of all ages and even … pigs!
I’ve broken the house (whatever that means), I’ve also broken the crate/kennel! Or, maybe it’s that I’m potty and kennel/crate trained, either way, I’m one good looking, well behaved mature guy. My aunties think it’s really cute when I very gently reach up with my front paws for a hug, if you aren’t a hugger, I’ll get down and sit very nicely to be petted and loved on too. I’m going to let my auntie tell you a little bit about me while I go check out the living conditions in my new place!”
Although Thunder is a retired show champ, he was not surrendered with any AKC paperwork. BRIT was provided with photos of his show days. His owners came to the difficult decision to re-home their boy after changes occurred in their life.
Thunder really is a very sweet, beautiful boy. He does indeed have a regal bearing which isn’t ruined by his silly, funny personality. Like all Brittanys he loves to play, run, love and be loved. He rides perfectly in a kennel, walks well on leash. He is going to make someone an awesome companion because he’s easy going, self confident, really chilled, loves people and is willing to please. As he said, he’s housebroken, kennel trained and just super laid back. He acts and seems much younger than his 10 years of age and with many Brittanys living to 15 and beyond in good health, he’s a companion that is sure to have many more years to give his people.
We are just getting to know this super guy and will have updates as we know more. Please put Thunder’s name on your adoption application!
Thunder has been neutered, is up to date on all his shots, heartworm negative, on heartworm preventative and is microchipped.
