Update on Maya – 5/23/19:
Maya is doing much better! She will be ready for her heartworm treatment in a few weeks, then she will be available for her forever home. Check her new glamour shots here.
Maya was rescued from a local shelter after her family lost their home. She’s only 4 years old and with the proper care Dr. Pam expects her to fully recover.
Her immediate needs are to treat her upper respiratory infection which has turned into pneumonia. Once that is resolved she needs heartworm treatment.
We are looking at 4-6 weeks of hospital care. Can you help us with her medical expenses?
THANK YOU for all you do to help sweet girls like May.
PLEASE share her story!
UPDATE: 5/15/2019
Maya is feeling much better. Although still in hospital care she is out of quarantine and getting stronger everyday! Hopefully she can begin heartworm treatment in late June. Thank you to everyone who has donated during this triage phase. We are still collecting funds for her ongoing rehab and heartworm treatment.
