Hi y’all, I’m “Gypsy,” and as it turns out the name my foster mom gave me is more fitting that its original intention. It turns out in my less than 1 year of life, I’ve seen a lot of different places – most of which happened in all of 3 days. I got picked up as what they call a “stray” in very south Texas, then a rescue group got me to Corpus Christi, then on to the central Texas area – all in just a few days – boy was I tired.
I sure am glad I hitched a ride because walking 300 miles seems kind of long, despite all of my experience roaming the streets of my south Texas town. Enough about that … so that’s right, I’m a Britt mix (we like to say ‘blend’) with a gorgeous blue eye, yes, just one. Maybe I’m blended with Aussie ~ Have I mentioned I have a tail? It’s really quite beautiful and looks much like a flag. I like to wave it around when I’m playing.
Originally, everyone thought I was shy, and I am when I first meet new people and am in a new situation, but I get over it pretty quickly. I love playing with my foster brother and helping him protect his back yard from critters. I like all the people I’ve met … including this other thing called a “cat.” My foster mom says I’m perfect and am going to make someone a really happy human. I love to sit in laps and curl up. I like to put my back against you when I’m resting – it makes me feel safe.
From Foster Family: Gypsy is ~ about 11months old, 23.5 lbs (shorter in stature/longer body). She is a pleaser and loves to give you her paw to hold onto. She’s not had any accidents in the house and is enjoying her wire crate. She is the sweetest little thing!! She seems to get along better with male dogs and definitely would to live with one. She has not been around children, so we don’t know but can’t imagine that an older child would be fine with her.
Gypsy is up to date on shots, microchipped, spayed, heartworm negative and on preventive. She is ready for her forever home.
