Hello everyone, my name is “Dakota” (and I’m a girl). My story is short and sweet and sad. My Mom died a few months ago and my Dad is a bit overwhelmed and feels the need to find me (and my sister Charo) a new home.

I love my sister and since we’ve been together for 5 years, I’d really like to be adopted with her. We’re a good team. BRIT said they would “make a deal” on our adoption fee so we could spend the rest of our lives together. We are both TOTAL love bugs … and we’ll love our new family to pieces. Don’t you want two sweet, sweet, sweet Brittany girls to love you forever and ever? Well, we’re waiting for Y.O.U.

I am quite the hunter of squirrels and critters – once I find them my sister shows  up to help. I used to live on 8 acres and had lots of room to run. I don’t need that much land, but a nice sized and safe/secure backyard would be just perfect.

UPDATE: Very sad turn of events! Dakota and her sister were taken by their owner and dumped in the countryside. Fortunately a very nice family (who used to raise Brittanys) found them and took them in. They are safe and sound. Their foster family says they appear to be housebroken. In this new environment Dakota is sweet, affectionate and loving – she is starting to blossom with love. She is so sweet and loving and really deserves a wonderful home.

Dakota has been spayed, is up to date on all her shots, on heartworm preventative and will be microchipped shortly
