Cheyenne’s family very sadly turned her to a shelter and the shelter immediately called BRIT – their lives had changed and they could no longer care for her.
She was neglected her whole life and came in with many health issues, but we have been working on them one by one and she is on the way to being totally healthy.
Cheyenne is in a great temporary foster home and is looking for her forever home. Her foster mom says she is a real sweetheart and is housebroken (yay). She loves her daily walks and checking out the yard. She gets along great with the two dogs in her foster home. Cheyenne gets anxious with storms (probably because she lived outside in them) … so she’ll need extra love and hugs when it storms.
Cheyenne has been spayed, is up to date on all her shots, microchipped and on heartworm preventative. She is heartworm positive and will need to undergo treatment for that once her skin and general health improves.
Cheyenne says “I am looking for a family that will love me and will commit to getting me back to 100% health and not ever abandon me.”
